About the event
The NYUL Diversity and Inclusion Lab and Fidelis Care, in alignment with Black Maternal Health Week, is hosting a necessary conversation focused on Women's Bodies and Black Maternal Health. While the conversation around maternal mortality has grown, the outcomes must change. We invite birthing parents, doulas, and healthcare providers to bridge the gap between policy and the patient experience. This solutions-based forum will provide the tools to navigate the NY healthcare system with agency and the collective power to demand a standard of care that honors Black bodies.
