About the event

Facilitators: Ebony Smalls LMSW and Carl Jackman LMSW

Fri. June 5th at 4 PM

engage in an interactive dialogue to develop an awareness of the individual, collective and social impact of the Pandemic in their lived experiences. Students will share and learn strategies from the facilitators on how they and their communities can move forward now and into the future of post-quarantine life.

What are the 3 key outcomes students will gain from your session?

  • A more in-depth understanding of how the pandemic has affected us collectively (Community)
  • Identifying/naming the thoughts and feelings that high school enrolled youth have been experiencing during this time. (Self-awareness, Scaling, Self-check-ins).
  • Tools that can be used now and when the world “opens” for Individual Care (reframing, resilience, gratitude, strength identification, medication, spirituality, gratitude) and Community care (receiving/giving support, mutual accountability, advocacy, healing)
