New York Urban League Young Professional | Join Week 2022

During the week of February 07, 2022, to February 14, 2022, the New York Urban League Young Professionals (NYULYP) will be one of sixty-six chapters across the country to host “Join Week 2022.” Join Week is a national initiative developed to educate young professionals as well as the community about the National Urban League Movement, the National Urban League Young Professionals and how local chapter are giving back and serving their respective communities. Chapters host various events supporting membership recruitment, engagement, and retention with an overall focus on personal and professional development, civic engagement, and community service.

On April 1, 2022, NYULYP will celebrate their 19th year anniversary serving the NYC community. Over the year, NYULYP has engaged 200 young professionals between the ages of 21-40 years old who live and or work in NYC or the surrounding communities. NYULYP has developed partnerships with twenty-five community and corporate partners to provide professional and personal development opportunities to their members and the community. They have also provided 10,000 volunteer hours in their community service projects throughout New York City.

Collectively, NYULYP upholds the mission and goals of the New York Urban League by donating $10,500 for the Whitney M. Young, Jr. Scholarship Program and providing mentors to support college bound students through their college journey.
