​Description:

Studies show that afterschool programs increase school attendance, improve grades, narrow the academic achievement gap, and contribute to social and emotional wellbeing. NYUL in partnership with educational, civic and community partners, support COMPASS Programming - an after-school support platform – that encompasses wrap around services to keep 9th and 10th graders on track. The COMPASS curriculum presents skill building activities (Pre-HBCU-college readiness, resume building, STEAM career exploration, Financial Aid/FAFSA, Intro to SUNY/CUNY and HBCU workshops); counseling and case management; that help students transition from middle to high school.
