About the event

New York Urban League’s Champions, Celebrating Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, will feature a half-day symposium bringing together experts to share knowledge and empower our community to accelerate change in DEI practices. Champions will culminate with an awards luncheon, recognizing organizations and thought leaders for their outstanding corporate citizenry and positive advancements relating to DEI.

GUEST DETAILS

Names will be checked at registration; no tickets will be issued. Open seating will be available during the

symposium and assigned tables for the awards luncheon.

HEALTH SAFETY

New York Urban League is taking multiple precautions to minimize the risk of spreading Covid-19.

Vaccinations:

All guests are required to show proof of full covid-19 vaccination at registration. No exemptions will be made.

Accepted vaccines include:

● Moderna, NIAID (at least 2 doses)

● Pfizer, BioNtech (at least 2 doses)

● Johnson & Johnson (*single dose)

● AstraZeneca/SK Bioscience

Acceptable forms of such proof include:

● Physical vaccination card

● Digital vaccination card (photo/image on an app such as NYS Excelsior Pass)

Shared Responsibility:

● If you test positive for Covid-19 within ten (10) days leading up to April 5 or don’t feel well (fever, sore throat,

cough, etc.), please stay home.

● If you test positive for Covid-19 within four (4) days after attending Champions, please contact New York Urban

League so that we may advise those who might have been in close contact with an anonymously reported

positive case.

Risk Assumption:

Covid-19 is an extremely contagious disease, oftentimes spreading before any symptoms present. Attendance at

Champions includes an inherent assumption of risk of exposure to Covid-19. By attending Champions, all guests

knowingly assume the risk of injury, harm and loss associated with the event, including any injury, harm and loss caused

by the negligence, fault or conduct of any kind on the part of New York Urban League, The Plaza, and any associates and

vendors participating in the event.

Precautions:

● Hand sanitizer is available throughout the venue.

● NYUL is requesting guest contact information for the purpose of contact tracing with any anonymously reported

positive cases of Covid-19.
