Recognized by the National Urban League as one of the premiere Young Professionals chapters in the country, The New York Urban League Young Professionals (NYULYP) is a unique entity of the New York Urban League designed to serve as an empowerment forum for early-stage individuals ages 21-40 who live and work throughout the five boroughs of New York City.
This premier civil right auxiliary group works to promote and support the mission of the New York Urban League by training the next generation of leaders through volunteerism, personal and professional development, and networking opportunities in an effort to strengthen their community and personal successes.
Through 26 strategic community and corporate partnerships, each season, 233 Young Professional Members log over 17,100 volunteer hours. We are proud that year after year, our YP’s have demonstrated track record of civic leadership, winning. The National Chapter of Excellence Award in 2007, 2011, 2014, and 2017 and the Inaugural Excellence in Advocacy Award in 2019.
