A Parents Guide to STEM
The goal of the Parent’s Guide to STEM is to help dispel common myths, connects STEM to everyday life, and provide a pathway for exploration of these fields.
NYUL’s STEM Bootcamp is a 12 week Saturday Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) program that will provide students an opportunity to learn how to design, build and develop apps using Infor’s Mongoose application development framework.
The NYUL STEM Ready After-School Program is designed to engage middle-school students in activities related to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math through instruction and hands-on learning activities using HTML code. Students will be immersed in a learning environment that is exciting, engaging, and fun.
The NEXT Academy is a community STEM engagement program composed of two summer learning academies with a parent and student track. Students will be exposed to careers in STEM, workshops that maintain summer learning of STEM-related subjects, have access to information for college and career choices, and successful completion of hands-on learning innovative project. Known for our parent engagement, the Parent Academy will extend the definition of STEM beyond Science, Technology, Engineering and Math to include why STEM is relevant and important in the 21st century economy, to demystify STEM education, and to debunk myths and stereotypes.
