Volunteers Packing Food

For over 100 years, the New York Urban League (NYUL) has led the way in the education, employment, and empowerment of African-American underserved communities across the five boroughs of New York City. During this time, we are proud to have inspired, influenced, and ignited over one million Black people to achieve their highest aspirations. NYUL remains a vital resource for our city’s African-American and underserved populations.
The work of the New York Urban League is guided by our vision that every American child is ready for college, work and life; every American has access to a living wage and good benefits; and every American has an equal right and responsibility to fully participate in our democracy and civic processes, and all people have a right to justice and fairness.
To make this vision a continued reality, we invite NYC Marathon runners to partner with us to raise funds and awareness that will ensure that Black and brown New Yorkers secure a first-class education, economic self-reliance and equal respect of their civil rights through our programs, services and advocacy.
Please contact Claude Aska at caska@nyul.org if you are interested in running for the movement.
We encourage all runners on the NYUL Team to raise $5,000 each by Sunday November 2, 2022.
