Welcome to the New York Urban League family. I am honored to serve as Board Chair of this legacy organization that will soon celebrate 100 years of providing education and employment services to New Yorkers.  In this capacity, I work with the organizations most dedicated volunteers – our board – to identify people and partners to help us achieve our goals in the below key areas.

  2. Employment – Our Workforce program helps the unemployed, as well as the underemployed gain skills they need in the job market through are retail certification programs, resume building training and employment fairs.
  3. Civil Rights – We fight to make sure every underprivileged communities have equal opportunities, regardless of income, race, or any other social injustice before them.
  4. Preparing the Next Generation – Over 300 Young Professionals annually volunteer over 15,000 service hours to our affiliate serving as role models to our scholarship winners and developing their own leadership skills.
