 Since 1971, nearly $20 million has been awarded through WMY Jr

Over $68,000 in WMY Jr Scholarships were awarded last year

Over 4,000 college-bound students received assistance

In 2016 a total of 16 students received scholarships

Whitney M. Young, Jr., (WMY) the Executive Director of the National Urban League from 1961 to 1971, memorializes her commitment to educational equity for young people through the NYUL legacy. Through the WMY Scholar Connect Mentoring Program scholars are paired with a NYUL Young Professional member who gives support and encouragement throughout their college experience.
