Together with our partners, we have developed and distributed 100,000 copies of the Parent’s Guide to STEAM and provide an accompanying workshop. Parents that help connect STEM learning in school to the home, will lead to STEM fluency for students.
HBCU Prep and Live Tours
In our community, NYUL is often the first point of contact about all things "college" for many high school students who matriculate through our college prep programming and evenually attend our College Tours.
Our Mentor Connect mentorship program pairs HBCU graduate with NYUL Young Professionals with top-achieving HBCU University students to provide crucial peer to peer support that ensure pathways to academic success.
Parent's Confidential – Guide to College Admission
This concierge-style approach guides parents through the college admissions process. Parents or guardians are required to follow a methodical curriculum before students can be eligible to attend HBCU Tours.
The Whitney M. Young, Jr. Scholarship Program
The Whitney M. Young, Jr. Scholarship of $3,500, is an award that memorializes Young’s commitment to educational equity for young people. Each year, awards ranging between$1,500-$3,500, are given to exceptional high school
seniors throughout the city.
Ann S. Kheel Scholarship Fund
The Ann S. Kheel Scholarship Fund awards 3-grants of $5,000 annually to outstanding President’s Circle Members who have demonstrated a commitment to public service ideals.
