ATTENTION: The New York Urban League Young Professionals have been selected as the 2007 National YP Chapter of Excellence (also known as the Chapter of the Year)! Each year, the National Urban League Young Professionals (NULYP) present a number of awards for successful programs that result in outstanding contributions to the Urban League and to the communities we serve. The Annual Chapter Awards reinforce the mission and vision of NULYP and acknowledge the significant impact volunteers make in advancing the Urban League movement.
The Chapter of Excellence award was judged on a scale of 1-4 (with 4 being excellent) in the following categories:
- Leadership Development,
- Community Impact,
- Membership Development,
- Fund Development, and
- Communications

The New York Urban League Young Professionals (NYULYP) is a unique entity of the New York Urban League designed to serve as an empowerment forum for individuals ages twenty-one to forty that live and work throughout the five boroughs of New York City.
This premier auxiliary group works to promote and support the mission of the New York Urban League by training the next generation of leaders through volunteer opportunities, personal and professional development and fund development.
