Technology Learning Center
The New York Urban League Technology Learning Center aims to increase the level of access and knowledge of career and education opportunities through the use of technology for community members. Opened in April 2010, the NYUL took over operations of the Verizon Technology Education Center. Located within Verizon, it served as a community-based facility for showcasing and educating customers about advanced telecommunications technology and the speed at which this technology was developing. NYUL now operates the Technology Learning Center from our Harlem office, providing computer classes, career workshops, and STEM education programming to residents and students of the community. This center is not simply a technology lab, but an avenue for community members to improve their skills through guided support.
