New York Urban League President - Darwin Davis
"I look forward to coming home to the League and in working with its Board, its staff, and its many supporters to keep the New York Urban League at the forefront of social services and policy advocacy groups in this City. Now, more than ever, New York City needs the kind of strong, effective social welfare organization that is epitomized by the Urban League."
Davis had been the NYUL's Director of Education from 1986 to 1988. Since then, he has been Executive Director of Black Agency Executives and, most recently, Executive Director of the Human Services Council of New York City. He was awarded a BS degree from New York University in 1971 and an MA degree in Human Development and Clinical Counseling from the New York Institute of Technology in 1983.
