Job Title: Security Guard 

Position Qualifications:
HS/GED. NYS Security Guard License: 8 hr, 16 hr, Fire Safety
OSHA certification a plus

Employer maintains a drug-free workplace and perform pre-employment substance abuse testing. (not if the drug testing applies) We do use pre-employment drug screens.

Description:  Security guard needed for various assignments:
Positions to ensure the safety and security of the clients, staff, visitors and property in accordance with established policies and procedures. Help us protect client’s assets. You will perform internal and external surveillances. Working in partnership with your Manager, site team, and fellow team members, you will play a key role in the successful execution of your sites security program. Responsibilities:

• Ability to Work various shifts and overtime as required
• Promote positive public relations by offering courteous service to all
• Control access to buildings / site and monitor activities of visitors
• Assist in emergency situations (i.e. fire, evacuations, human crisis, etc.)
• Communicate with Supervisor/Manager on issues related to safety
• Maintain daily logs and shift reports
• Duties may vary depending on site location and requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
• 1-year experience in security or law enforcement (preferred but not required)
• New York State Security License
• OSHA 10 hour Construction Safety Training (or in the process of obtaining)
• Fireguard / FDNY Certificate of Fitness (F-93) (or in the process of obtaining)
• Able to use good judgment and utilize critical thinking skills.
• Must have the ability to follow instructions and consistently act in a professional manner.
• Ability to work on a team
