NYULYP is a unique entity of the NYUL designed to serve as an empowerment forum for individuals ages 21-40 that live and work throughout the five boroughs of New York City. The organization trains, develops and educates young professionals to take leadership roles within the National Urban League (NUL), the civil rights movement and society-at-large. Members of NYULYP are defining, developing, implementing and leading the next generation.

Membership Criteria

• Be between the ages of 21-40
• Pay annual membership dues ($75)
  
  

To maximize your experience with NYULYP, we highly encourage all members to join one of our four standing committees - Civics & Economics, Community Service, Fundraising & Finance or Membership.

Event Highlights:

• Rebirth! – Don’t miss the elegance of Rebirth!, organized by the Fundraising and Finance Committee, an evening where young professionals pay homage to the essence of African American culture during the month of February, while raising funds to support education programs of the affiliate.
• National Day of Service: The national community service event for all young professional groups across the country focused on economic empowerment each June. This is a combined effort of the Community Service and Civics and Economics Committee of the NYULYP.
• Community Service: Join us every October for New York Cares Day. A city-wide day of volunteering to help beautify the public grounds and interior of public schools.
