How To Volunteer

The New York Urban League Young Professionals (NYULYP) dedicates itself to coordinating volunteers to participate in service opportunities throughout the five boroughs of New York City. Our community service activities include initiatives sponsored by the NYUL, NYULYP, and other local organizations. In the past, we have partnered with Part of the Solution, Higher Education Services Corporation (HESC), Crossroads Food Pantry, Oliver Scholars, AJC ACCESS-NY, and the Department of Health in various capacities to ensure that the needs of our community are met.

Our signature programs include an annual backpack drive, Get Your Mind Right Body Right (health fair), and the 5-Borough Service Day. Our goal is to support the mission of the New York Urban League and the National Urban League Young Professionals by serving members of the community.

Volunteers are always welcomed to help in several capacities. Whether it’s in leading our projects, identifying new community partners, or volunteering during the actual events, your service is needed and appreciated!
